March club projects

Here are the projects we will be making in March's clubs. The first is a clippy board (we will be making the one on the left! The one on the right was made by another consultant, Barb Carrico. I got it during a swap with her last summer at convention.)

A clippy board is simply a 4x4 paper coaster that you decorate (I've used paper from "Notebook" here and the stamps are from the set "Heartfelt"); attach a paper clip at the top, decorate with ribbon and then glue a magnet on the back. These make great gifts, I made a bunch last Christmas to give the secretaries at the schools I work at and they loved them!

We will also be making a hinge card using the March stamp of the month "Butterfly Wings." I'm not even a butterfly person but I loved using this stamp set. The paper I've used here is from the Boom Di Ada creative basics collection. I put liquid glass over the butterflies to make them shine!

We will also be making a 6x6 card using Butterfly Wings and paper from "That's Amore."

My cub scout

Here's Patrick in his cub scout uniform at the Blue & Gold Banquet that was held this past weekend. They have that banquet once a year and get all the badges they've earned over the fall. They also have a cake contest; each cub scout and his parent make a cake according to a certain theme. This year's theme was "the great outdoors."

My little boy is growing up and getting so big!!!! Where does the time go? He'll be 8 next week!

Brighton

I'm a huge, huge fan of Brighton jewelry. Imagine my surprise when my husband gave me this for Valentine's Day!!!!!!! He completely surprised me because he has been out of town for work almost all week and I didn't think he had time to shop before today. He went after work last night to a store in Valpo called "Seasons on the Square" where they sell Brighton for a little gift for me! It was a pair of beautiful silver and pearl earrings plus a matching bracelet that has charms on it that say "I love you." Wow, he earned major bonus points for this one :)

Valentine gift

This is what Patrick made me for Valentine's Day! Last Sunday my sweet friend Sue babysat him for me in the afternoon and she had him make this! Wasn't that thoughtful? I was so surprised! I'm going to put this in my scrap room where I'll see it all the time!

My Original Valentine

Here's my sweet husband David who is my original Valentine! He's such a good guy! He works very hard and has always provided me and Patrick with a great life and a beautiful home. We will have our 15th year wedding anniversary this July.

My Funny Valentine

Here's my sweet boy making out his Valentines for his second grade class in his spiderman pajamas! He didn't want me to take his picture so he's not looking up on purpose! His card this year was from "Kung Fu Panda."

What I Know For Sure

Oprah inspired me to make this list. If you are familiar with her magazine, this is the last column she writes in every issue. Some of the things on her I have "borrowed" from Oprah and the rest is my own. I keep this list in my nightstand and try to read it when I'm feeling blue or out of sorts because it helps me keep my focus on what is truly important in life:

There is a loving, heavenly God who is our original Father-Creator who sent us to this life to do good and help each other. He is always there to help us-all we need to do is ask.

What you put out, comes back to you.

I define my own life-I don't let others decide the script.

When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.-Maya Angelou

Worrying is wasted time. Use the same energy for doing something about whatever worries you.

What you believe has more power than what you dream or wish or hope for. You become what you believe.

The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you give.

Failure is a signpost to turn you in another direction.

Let passion drive what you do.

Every day begins a chance to start over.

Being a mother is tough; but is also an amazing journey full of love and miracles and is something I'm profoundly grateful that I've had the chance to experience.

When you don't know what to do-pray!

"Trouble don't last always."

True Fit Folio mini album opened up

Here's the True Fit Folio album opened up. You can use it is a stand up accordian type album if you want.
These are really fun and cute to make! If you want to learn how to make one yourself there is a video on my website that shows you how (click CTMH TV and then click true fit folio album).

True Fit Folio mini album

This is a project we are making in February's club class. It's a mini album made out of a True Fit Folio. Here I used paper from the Notebook collection.

Good Times card

This is a card I made using the free February stamp set "Good Times". I used paper from the "Daydream" collection.
On the cupcake I outlined the frosting with a product called "liquid applique." This goes on like glue and then you heat it with a craft heater and it puffs up like a marshmallow!
It's great to use on cupcakes (looks just like icing) and also is great for snowmen!

Emporium layouts

These are the layouts we did at January's club meeting using our "Emporium" paper!
