Layout and sketch

I used this sketch to make a layout of my son in the snow. This was when Valpo got hit with 29 inches of snow this past January! No stamping on this page, I used paper from "Aspen" level 2 and Aspen stickease!

Grandparents Day layout

Last fall my parents came to go to school with my son for Grandparents Day! I made this layout and framed it to give to them as a gift (that's why there is a glare!) The paper I used here is from "Notebook" level 2 paper packet. I used rub ons for the words to the left of the picture and the words on the bottom of the page are stamped from the Friendship Word Puzzle stamp set in cocoa ink. The words family at the top were done using our dimensional elements. I inked them in cocoa first, then stamped on them in black using "Playful Flourishes" and then adhered the letters to the page with glue dots.

April club projects

Here are the projects we will be making at April stamp/scrap club. The top card is made from the "creative basics emporium collection" and the heart was stamped in vineyard berry and cut out (it is from the "Heartfelt" stamp set). The second card was made using a template from the Originals book ("scalloped money holder"). It is very easy to use the templates, simply insert the CD into your computer, choose the template you want, print it out on cardstock, and cut out the pattern! The cardstock color is "sorbet" and the paper is from "Unforgettable." The clippy board was made using paper from "Emporium" and the stamp set I used is "Make it Count."

Card and sketch of the week

This card uses paper from the "Boom Di Ada" level 2 packet. The swirl is a rub on from the Love Letters collection and the t image and the words thank you so much are from the "Solos T" stamp set.

Card sketch of the week

For this card I used paper from "Perfect Day" and the flowers are from our Fancy Cuts Botanicals collections (with this collection you get 3 sheets of die cut flowers, leaves and stems). I inked the edges of the flowers with chocolate distressing ink (from the distressing kit) then bent the edges of the flowers to make them more realistic looking. Then I outlined the flowers in liquid glass to give them shine on the edges. The bottom flower is just adhered to the card with a glue dot but the top two flowers I put on with 3-D foam squares to give some dimension.

Card and sketch of the week

Every week I'm going to try to post a card and sketch; I just love card sketches! On this card I used paper from the "Unforgettable" paper packet. Stamp sets used are simple stitches, playful flourishes, butterfly wings (which is the March stamp of the month) and the word "friend" is from a set called Code It.
I used a new technique on the butterfly to really make it pop: outline it with liquid glass, then while the liquid glass is still wet, put prisma glitter over it. This will really make it shine!
