Fall Cone

I've always loved flower arranging. These cones are a great way to combine arranging flowers with altered art techniques. The cone is a cardboard one I bought at Michael's; I put decoupage glue all over it and adhered scrapbook paper to it then covered the paper with decoupage glue. Then I added all the flowers, trim and jewels. For the hanger (which is a satin ribbon) I punched two holes on each side with my Cropodile and put the ribbon through and tied a hole on each end (make sure when you keep the ribbon long enough to accomodate your flowers). Then add your flowers. This makes such a pretty seasonal decoration to hang on doorknobs!

I'm still here!

Sorry for being gone so long! My husband got a new job in PA and we are going to be moving there at the end of this school year. I'm playing single parent right now and it's a BIG job! Haven't had much time for scrapping/stamping plus I've kind of gotten interested in altered art and mixed media art and am learning those techniques when I have time. I started with altered scrapbook pages and it has progressed from there!

So I'll post some pictures of my recent projects a few at a time as I can!

The picture above is a Halloween banner that I started with used some paint and other media. I love to use other media (flowers, moss, etc) on my scrapbook pages. I clipped these pieces to a curtain rod and put a fall flower garland above it and it looks beautiful!
