Art society piece (January)

I'm taking a monthly class with Christy Tomlinson called the "Art Society." You get 2-3 videos every month where she demonstrates how to make a new project using mixed media techniques and then you can create it on your own. This is the January project and I love how it turned out! I have it in my front hallway!

I've recently gotten into making artist trading cards (or atc's as they are called) and boy are they addictive! I joined a swap on the Scrappy Diva's facebook group and these are the ones I made for my partner!

Winter mixed media piece

I saw a mitten template on Pinterest the other day and got inspired to make a winter mitten piece! The base is canvas and I cut paper into squares and decoupaged it onto the canvas. I cut a mitten using the template I printed out and decoupaged it on to the dried canvas. I added texture using acrylic paint and then put some fake fur on to the bottom of the mitten with gel medium. I think this is soooo cute :)
